We’re excited for Friends & Family Day – Sunday, August 7, 2011 – a day we welcome new friends and families to Jubilee!  This day provides an opportunity for each and every one of us to extend a personal invitation to a friend or family member to join us at church for an OPEN HOUSE… to get a taste of Jubilee… to have a chance to truly experience God… just like all of us have experienced ourselves.  Just ask yourself this question, “Where would I be without God and without Jubilee?”  Now imagine those closest to your circle of influence being able to experience personally all that God and Jubilee means to you!  Join me by taking the “JUST ASK” Challenge…

• ASK God which 5 friends or family members to invite and write their names in your Friends & Family Kit (available at the 1st Step Booth in the foyer), and begin praying for them
• ASK the Holy Spirit for the opportunity and the words to say when you invite them
• ASK each person to enjoy Jubilee’s Friends & Family Day with you! (and give them one of the invite cards inside your Friends & Family Kit)

What happens on Friends & Family Day?

• We will enjoy shortened campus-wide services, including ECM, Children, and Youth
• Service Times – 9am and 11:15am
• Visitors with kids (ECM, Kids, Jr. High and Sr. High) will tour classrooms and the Urgency Building and then will personally meet Pastor Dick and our pastoral team after each service
• Visitors without kids will personally meet Pastor Dick and our pastoral team directly after each service
• Visitors will receive a coupon for a complimentary meal (Summertime favorites – hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, dessert and drink) to be enjoyed as they walk our campuses and meet our staff and volunteers
• Jubilee members can purchase a meal ticket for $5 and enjoy it with our visitors!  Tickets are available at the Box Office, or on the day of the event
• Music
• Fun for the kids!

My personal challenge to myself and to you:  Help me change our church culture, which will ultimately change our neighborhoods, workplaces, and cities!  Let’s continue with the theme and goal of Friends & Family Day throughout the year!  Each month, let’s continue to pray for those friends and family members we would like to see attending Jubilee, and continue inviting them to experience church at Jubilee!
