Pastor Juanita Childress

Juanita was saved in 1980 when her brother, Dick Bernal, led her to the Lord.  Excited about her new salvation, she hosted Pastor Dick’s early Bible studies in her home.  Those Bible studies were the seeds of a fledgling church which grew into Jubilee Christian Center, with Senior Pastors Dick and Carla Bernal.

Pastor Juanita completed Bible College in 1989, and has served as the head of the Jubilee Women’s Ministry for more than twenty years.  Juanita is an enthusiastic Bible teacher, with a heart for families in crisis, and she’s no stranger to the trials women face.  She grew up in a broken home, experienced divorce, illness, and the death of her husband of 25 years in 1997.

Pastor Juanita oversees all Jubilee Women’s Ministry events, including retreats and conferences, and disciples women to be over comers in Christ through Scripture.  In addition to teaching Bible College, Pastor Juanita instructs women’s Bible studies, leads a mentoring group, and occasionally conducts service in the main sanctuary.  Her many responsibilities also extend to counseling sessions and intercessory prayer.
