Choir

The Jubilee Christian Center Choir is a multicultural group of people who enjoy singing about the God whom they love and serve. The choir was established more than 20 years ago as an extension of the Worship and Creative Arts Ministry and the energetic music helps usher in the presence of God during our worship services. The JCC choir sings various genres from traditional Black Gospel, Contemporary Urban Gospel and Contemporary Christian praise and worship.

Jubilee’s Choir resume’ includes “Best Church Choir in the Bay Area” honors at the 2008 Winners Verizon Wireless How Sweet the Sound; singing the National Anthem for the Golden State Warriors in 2006, 2009 and 2010; participant in the NorCal Gospel Praise Concert in 2009; background vocals for Josh Grobin’s Awake Tour in San Jose, CA; and sharing the stage with gospel greats Marvin Sapp, Hezekiah Walker and Donald Lawrence and world renown praise and worship leaders, Ron Kenoly, Mark Kenoly, Cindy Cruse-Ratcliff, and Mary Alessi. The choir also headlined the Christmas Festival in Prague, Czech Republic in 2005.

The choir also takes part in Bay Area community events such as San Jose City College Black History program, Foothill College Gospel Celebration, Global Celebration Concert, San Jose’s Christmas in the Park, plus Casa on the East Bay senior living community in Hayward, CA.

One More Time

As the Jubilee Christian Center choir director, I’m pleased to announce our involvement in “How Sweet the Sound,” sponsored by Verizon Wireless.  This is the third time we’ve participated in this fantastic event.  Not only does it give the choir an opportunity to minister in the community, but it’s also a great way to build camaraderie and a sense of pride as members of Jubilee Christian Center.

Please join the Jubilee Christian Center choir at the Oracle Arena for “How Sweet The Sound”, the search for the Best Church Choir in America on Tuesday, October 4 at 7:30 pm.  Doors open at 6pm.

In addition to the title and $10,000 cash prize for best choir, we’re shooting for the “V-CAST People’s Choice Award.”  Your support boosts our chances to win an additional $5,000.

It is a privilege and honor to represent our church and leadership in such an amazing capacity.  Thank you Jubilee for believing in and supporting us.

God Bless you,

Eileen Deadwiler
