Leadership is all about service. With Jesus as our example, we are honored to lead & guide for the Jubilee community.
Pastor Dick & Carla Bernal
Pastor Dick has researched, taught, and authored on the subjects of spiritual warfare, city taking, and marketplace ministry. One of his most influential books is Storming Hell’s Brazen Gates, which helped ignite the great Brownsville Revival of 1985 in Pensacola, Florida. Another book, When Lucifer, Jezebel, or Jonah Join Your Team, has helped countless ministries learn how to deal firsthand with three of the most dangerous spirits in any church or organization. Kings & Priests was written to help clearly define and understand the importance of the Christian’s role in the marketplace as you work to build and influence the Kingdom of God. Living Under an Open Heaven illustrates God’s love for cities while equipping believers with the knowledge necessary to help transform their communities.
More than three decades after founding Jubilee, Pastor Dick continues pastoring, writing, and serving as a missionary to the nations. He’s also fulfilling his greatest mandate – to mentor the next generation of pastors, leaders, and business executives. He’s an advisory board member of the influential Church Growth International Ministry in Seoul, Korea, founded by his personal pastor, Dr. David Yonggi Cho.
Pastor Carla Bernal is well-known for her gift as a passionate, prophetic intercessor and is often referred to as Jubilee’s greatest hidden treasure – a “stealth missile” whose prayers always hit the mark! People flock to her for prayer before and after service, knowing that she has a gift of healing and a gift for praying for women dealing with infertility.
After years of traveling the world, ministering with Pastor Dick, and spreading the gospel, Pastor Carla believes her greatest mission in life is to witness to people who are hurting and lost. Her greatest desires have always been to see people saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and fulfilling their God-given purpose. In addition to Jubilee, she’s also found a broader audience – the people of San Jose and the surrounding Bay Area.
